About Flybe
Flybe was founded in 1979 as a merger between Intra Airways and Express Air Services becoming Europe’s largest independent regional airline. Annually, it carries around 8 million passengers in over 81 departure points across the UK and Europe. It flies to 85 destinations and has over 210 routes across 15 countries. Due to their franchising agreement between Stobart Air, Eastern, and Blue Islands, Flybe has the authority to access small regional airports, allowing them to cover 70% of the UK. Flybe is also a member of the Avios frequent flyer program, whose focus is to cover cities that include Inverness, London-City, and Jersey. Flybe’s main operating hubs are located in Manchester (MAN) and Birmingham (BHX) airports and it has to 11 aviation bases across the UK and one base outside the UK in Germany. In addition, Flybe has access to a number of airports outside the UK through shared codes.
