KU Historic Milestones
1954
Kuwait Airways was established as the national carrier of Kuwait.
1990
Following the invasion of Kuwait, more than 15 aircraft were destroyed. Consequently, Kuwait Airways had to undergo a comprehensive post-invasion reconstruction to expand its operations globally.
2007
Kuwait Airways was privatized to become a joint-stock company in which foreign investors owned 35% stake. Kuwaiti nationals owned 40%, Kuwaiti private companies owned 20% and 5% for the personnel of Kuwait Airways.
2016
It announced its vision and strategy until 2021 in 'We Flourish Together' ceremony on 3rd September the same year.
