About Air Transat Airlines
Air Transat is a low-cost Canadian airline founded in 1986 and it operates out of its main aviation hub in Quebec, Montreal. It is privately owned by Transat A.T. Inc., a highly reputable international tourism company. Air Transat commenced operations in 1987 and it operates charter and scheduled flights. It serves 60 destinations in 26 countries carrying nearly 3.5 million passengers every year. As one of Canada’s biggest airlines, Air Transat offers its domestic passengers flights out of five Canadian airports. It is the second-best leisure airline in the world and the best airline in North America for the same category for the sixth consecutive year. It has been consistently ranked number one in North America because of energy efficiency. Air Transat’s main destinations during summer are the European cities and its main destinations during winter are United States, Central America, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
