Old mans Den, a home stay in true blue form. Rupankush, the quant hillside house located in Jakhoo, above and away from the hustle bustle of everyday Shimla life. This property, built by a forest officer from yesteryears is a typical old time cottage with attics, wooden floors, glass fronts dated wooden furniture. Guaranteed to give you some peace of mind and a quiet getaway. Tucked away into the mountain, this cottage has a beautiful view of the mountains, with the famous Jakhoo Temple up in the distance. A walk from the den down to Mall Road will take you just 10 minutes. And if you are a nature lover, you will enjoy walking towards the forest road called the Lovers Lane the once famous Five Benches giving you a small taste of old times, remnants of the British Raj The Old mans Den is maintained operated by the old man himself, Anil Mehta, along with his wife Sushma their mother fondly known to all as Ammaji or Dadi. For the nature trail junkie the old man (an avid mountain man nature enthusiast himself) knows exactly where what you should do in around the mountains of Himachal, will pretty much hook you up and or even accompany you on a trek. On offer are 2 bedrooms, and 1 attic room along with a common drawing room, dining room kitchen. HOUSE RULES TIMINGS: 12-noon Check-in and 11 am Check-out, Non-veg and alcohol is allowed, Smoking is allowed outside rooms, Unmarried couples not allowed, valid ID proof is a mandate, pets are not allowed.
