Overview
1. Driver: Please note there is NO provision for a driver. We can help you arrange a room for him in a nearby home at a cost of around R 400 per night. He might be sharing this other drivers (if there are any) or have it to himself. 2. Directions to Verandah: Verandah is in Jungalia Gaon, near Bhimtal. Directions from Delhi: It's basically the NH 24 up to Rampur and then the NH 87 to Kathgodam. Here's the route: Nizamuddin Bridge (NH24) - Ghaziabad (NH24) - Hapur Bypass (NH24) – Gajrau la (NH24) - Moradabad Bypass (NH24) - Rampur (NH87) - Bilaspur (NH87) - Rudrapur (NH87) - Haldwani (NH87) - Kathgodam. (Note - make sure you take the Hapur and Moradabad BYPASS to avoid getting stuck in those crowded towns). When you have driven past Kathgodam railway station on the right, you drive for about 2-3 minutes, past a Royal Enfield motorbike show room, until you come to a fork in the road. There will be a huge bamboo plant on the left hand side of the road where the fork is. You take the right fork which will take you to Bhimtal. · Once in Bhimtal with the lake on your right, take a round about of the entire lake and come to take the road which takes you up to Naukuchiatal. · When you come to a fork in the road, take the left fork to Jungalia Gaon (the right fork takes you to Naukuchiatal). · Drive 7 kms uphill till you reach "Kailash Dwar" – a big stone arched gate to your right. Drive past the arch for another 2 minutes and you reach a pink coloured B&B called Diamond Hill, on the left, next to a small temple. Just BEFORE Diamond Hill, there is a road on the left-hand side. Go down there, right to the very end of the road and you will reach Juniper. 3. Housekeeper's numbers: For assistance, call Krishna on 8979 368790 or his assistant Naresh on 761860 4007. 4. Advice on clothes: Please take warm clothes with you. It is usually sunny during the day but gets cold when the sun sets ends.
