Situated on Dal Lake, Stream Restaurant and Lodge is a lodge and it harks back to the era when romance in Kashmir blossomed in these floating hotels. Indeed, the backdrop of water and the serenity invokes romance and this is what the houseboat aspires to. It is located at the distance of 28 kms from the Sheikh UL Airport while the Srinagar railway station is 13 kms away and the local bus stand is 6 kms away. Rooms are offered in Deluxe category. Ornate handicraft which forms the layout and interiors of the houseboat is worth savoring and one cannot resist admiring the workmanship on display in the facade of the houseboat. The lodge allows children up to the age of 5 years to stay complementary and it does permit smoking and drinking inside the premises, but does not allow pets to accompany the guests. The view of setting sun sitting on the covered porch of the houseboat is a view worth savoring and with a cup of hot kahwah in hand the romance just blossoms.
