Asteya Nagzira is nestled in a valley surrounded by hills and thick jungle on all sides; offering a truly unique wilderness experience. Built on stilts, the 10 cottages skirt a small lake in the middle of the property. Located in the easternmost part of Maharashtra state, Nagzira has a great importance from bio-diversity conservation point of view.

Asteya Nagzira is conveniently situated near major airports: Nagpur (122 km) Raipur (202 Km), as well as Kanha tiger reserve (180 Km). By Rail - Nagzira is well connected by railway stations: the closest railway station is Gondia and it takes approximately 1 hours to reach Nagzira.
Skilled drivers in air-conditioned luxury 4x4 sedans will transfer guests from the closest airports and railway stations.
At the Camp: pathways are lit to guide guests to their rooms, along with a security escort; intercoms are used for emergencies In the Park: naturalists are trained in animal behavior, first aid and outdoor emergencies Doctor is available on call.
Weather: Tropical hot during the day. Summer (March- June). Rainfall: Heavy in the monsoon season (mid-June to September) and average rainfall is 1100 mm. Best Time to Travel: October to June when game viewing is at its best. Malaria: Though Asteya Camp is situated in a low risk malaria area, necessary precautions should be taken.
