A beautiful mountain home (2BHK villa, private sleeping 4, extra 2) having breath taking views of snow capped Himalayan peaks of Trisul, Nandadevi & Panchchuli. Located over a landscaped green hill near a village called Digoti, a peaceful personal retreat and a splendid escape near Ranikhet, at just 8 hours drive from Delhi, 2 hours drive from Nainital / Bhimtal. A 50 Km drive further takes you to hill stations like Kausani, Binsar, & Almora. Please read detailed description for more information The space Please Note: Due to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Government, a COVID-19 negative test report is mandatory for any visitors to Uttarakhand for bookings less than 14 days. Guests would be required to submit a copy of these reports along with their travel pass 24 hours prior to check in via email along with government ID's. Any failure to provide the report and pass prior to check in will result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. Also entry to our property / physical interaction with our team will not be allowed in absence of the negative report and pass to be submitted. For bookings greater than 14 days, a home quarantine for 14 days is mandatory with an undertaking that the guest will not move out of the premises during quarantine period. Please refer to guidelines issued by the Uttarakhand Government while issuing the pass. Same will have to be followed strictly. This is for your safety and safety of our staff. Property Layout: Our mountain home is a duplex villa overlooking a gorgeous forest covered valley, and the mighty Himalayan peaks (peaks visible during September - January). * The property has 2 big size bedrooms with attached bathrooms * a cute Living room with a dining table * a private kitchen * The attic on the upper level is fitted with a futon bed for our two extra guests / kids Amenities: * Kitchen has most required utensils, appliances like microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, blender, etc, and necessary cutlery and crockery * Wifi internet connectivity is provided * All bathrooms have storage water heaters (25 Lts each) for hot water supply * Bedrooms have fans for summer months (air-conditioning not required) * Heaters / heat convectors in all rooms for usage in winter * Power back up is through UPS system, which will power the lights and fans, however heavy electronics like kitchen equipment, geysers / water heaters, room heaters, electric iron, and hair dryers cannot be used on power back up in case of a power outage * Fresh clean Linen is provided at every check in * Housekeeping is provided daily between 11 AM - 3 PM Rental Inclusions: * Complementary Housekeeping - once a day * Electricity - 40 Units per day (calculated pro-rata). Enough for running the house with heating. The cap is to prevent misuse / wastage of electricity by leaving water heaters / room heaters left on unattended. Additional electricity will be charged at Rs. 7 per unit. * Free Wifi & Cable TV Rental Exclusions: * No meal is included in the price. We do not provide meals. Please read meals and dining section below for more information. * Water - We levy a water charge of Rs. 500 per day for the duration of your booking, which is not included in the listed price. Water is scarce in the mountains. The neighborhood does not have a water connection by the Government, and we have to purchase / organize water for each guest, through local villagers. These charges as per your number of nights of booking will have to be paid in advance at every check in. * Linen change cost is INR 1000 per time (4 guests) / INR 1500 per time (6 guests) Long term booking policy: For all bookings 14 nights and above the following will not be a part of the rental price and will have to be paid in addition * Housekeeping is complementary for first 14 days of booking. After that charges calculated at Rs. 300 per day will be applicable on all days of booking from the 15th day. Example, if your booking is for 25 nights, these charges will be applicable for the remaining 11 nights, and will be payable in advance at check in. Meals & Dining: Dining options are available at the "Woodsvilla Residency" & "Richamond Hills Resort" located 1.5 KM away, "Woodsvilla Resort" & "Vimoksha Resort", located 2 KM away, "The Cafe" located 3 KM away, and "ITC Welcome Heritage - Windsor Lodge" located 7 KM away. Home delivery of Pizzas, noodles and Momo's is also available (please ask our local manager for the menu's kept at the property) A local Cook can be arranged at an extra cost of Rs. 1000 per day (subject to availability). Provisions / Groceries have to be provided by the guests. Pet Policy: * We welcome your pets into the property, however we levy an additional one time cleaning fee of Rs. 5000 per booking towards hosting guests with pets. This fee is to take care of dry-cleaning of sofa's, carpets, etc after you leave the property, so that it is pet hair and smell free for our next guests. * The pet should not be left outdoors after 6:30 pm, when it gets dark. A pet being left outdoors at night can attract leopards from nearby forests by the smell of pets. * The guest will ensure safety of our team including maid, and of neighbors / children / people scared of pets, and shall maintain necessary safety precautions at all times. If the pet harms any person, the same can lead to necessary legal and criminal action against the guest * The guests will be required to sign a pet liability form at check in Stay arrangement for 1 driver / helper is possible at the property. A cost of Rs. 500 per night is payable for accommodating the driver / helper. Accommodation for driver / helper cannot be organized if a cook is being opted (as then the cook will be given the service room). Only 1 person can stay in the service room. Guest access Our guests are most welcome to enjoy all areas and facilities of the property, except the Indoor Fireplace which is decorative only (not for use). We can organize an open air bonfire at an extra cost (Rs. 1500) for each time use of the bonfire. We can also organize a barbecue setup for our guests, the rent for apparatus is Rs. 1500 per use (subject to availability). Other things to note Please note - This is a private home, and not a hotel. Please do not expect hotel kind of services at the property. We focus on cleanliness, good quality well maintained linen, and homely comfort for our guests. Our property is located at Vimoksha Valley II, which is on a village road connecting the villages of Majkhali and Digoti, approx 2 KM from the main highway. The village roads are narrow (one way) roads, partly metaled, partly brick mortared, having sharp hair pin bends. The roads are in perfect shape and all cars can easily go on them, and in a way the drive up to the cottage is fun and a bit adventurous. The car goes upto our villa plot, however, the entry to the villa is located about 20 steps down from the parking area, which have to be walked down.
