The Windermere Estate

The Windermere estate is a boutique hotel set in a working cardamom and coffee plantation, surrounded by lush tea gardens, high in the breath taking green hills of Munnar.Come here and loose yourself in the old estate. Here you will find cardamom bushes growing under tall tree covers, the giant malabar squirrels scampering up trees and curiously looking on. If you are looking for a lazy stroll spend some time in the garden, or find yourself in a hammock and garden chairs reading your favourite book. Our rooms are inspired by old plantation houses of the region, and they are expansive spaces and surrounded by nature. We have allowed nature to dictate our designs, some of the rooms have great vies of the sunrise, and some have views of the plantations and others have charming gardens and trees where you would wake up to bird songs.The exclusive restaurant serves thoughtfully personalized, locally sourced cuisine, and guests often gather in the gazebo for coffee and a snack or under the estate’s famous boulder for a barbecue and bonfire.
