نظرة عامة
Located in Kudumangalore, Bird of Paradise is a premium homestay in Coorg, spread over 7 acres with jackfruit trees, coffee plants and bird of paradise flower plants. The property has unique accommodations ranging from tree houses, wooden houses, cottages and standard rooms. All rooms have air-conditioner, except the executive cottages. The rooms have a television, separate living room, a seating area and an attached bath. The homestay also offers on-site parking, boating activities, a play area for kids, and a sprawling lawn for outdoor games. The homestay is about 90 km from the Mysore Railway Station. The in-house kitchen is often a favourite with guests. The meals are cooked by the locals and they dish out authentic Coorgi (Kodagu) and Mangalorean cuisine. The home-cooked meals, garnished with locally produced spices, offer the experience and taste beyond any restaurant in Coorg. Bird of Paradise organises campfire nights that can be enjoyed with homemade wine. The tree house with river views can also be used to conduct events. The homestay is close to several coffee factories like the Origin Coffee Roasting Pvt Ltd. Centres like these give great insight into the manufacturing process of coffee powder; something that’s a must-do in Coorg. The Namdroling Monastery Golden Temple and Nisargadhama Reserve are about 8 km away. And a drive to Madikeri gets you closer to popular places to visit in Coorg like the Raja’s Seat, Madikeri Fort and Omkareshwar Temple.
