On the blessings of Sanchiya Devi, Sodha later established Amarkot as his kingdom went on to rule the Sindh province of Thar and his descents are now called Sodha. The sodha ruled across the entire Sindh Province the Thar that included parts both from present day India Pakistan. The story of the protection and assistance extended by the Amarkot Ranas to the Mughal Emperor Humayun when he was escaping the Afghan usurper Sher Shah Suri is legendary and it became the birthplace of Akbar, future Emperor of Delhi.
